My name is Amy Miller, and it is a great honor and privilege to serve as Principal of Hickory Tree Elementary. All the experiences that I have been afforded throughout my 19-year tenure with the Osceola County School District, including teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal, have prepared me for this moment. I am grateful to be a part of an amazing team of teachers, students, and families. Working together with Mrs. Wagner, as well as the rest of our staff, I am confident that we will provide our students with a truly rigorous, enriched, and inviting school experience that will advance the achievements of all students on our campus.
As we prepare for this exciting school year, we must keep in mind that this is a new beginning, a moment in time in which we are destined for greatness. Holding high expectations for ourselves and every member of the Hawk family will have a powerful impact on student learning and will result in students who rise to their full potential.
I look forward to continuing to build relationships with our students and their families and continuing the amazing partnership with all our Hawk families. Welcome to Hickory Tree Elementary School! My name is Marlenys Vargas, and I am extremely honored to be serving this community. I’m thrilled to welcome both our returning students and those who are joining us for the first time. This school year will be full of opportunities to learn, grow, and achieve new heights. Our dedicated staff has been working hard to prepare an environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to fostering a community that values respect, and excellence. We will continue to build on the strong foundation of success, teamwork, and growth. I believe that the involvement and support of our parents and community members are as essential as any other group of stakeholders. To keep you informed and connected throughout the year, we will continue to utilize our social media platforms as well as the new ParentSquare communication tool.
