A Message from Administration

Hawk families,

We made it through Week 3, and what a week it was! Our students tackled PM1 testing with grit, determination, and plenty of brainpower. We are so proud of their effort. If perseverance had a trophy, every Hawk would be taking one home! Please take a moment to congratulate your child for giving it their best; those small high-fives at home make a big difference.

As we head into Week 4, we ask for your continued support with our SOAR expectations, especially in the hallways, cafeteria, and other common areas. A quick reminder at home goes a long way in reinforcing what we practice at school.

Also, please:
  • Check ParentSquare and agendas daily for updates from teachers.
  • Review classwork at home—reading together and practicing math facts nightly really helps solidify learning too.
  • A little routine goes a long way! Establish a set “homework + reading time” each evening. Consistency builds confidence, and confidence builds Hawks who SOAR!

Don't forget the following important information:
  • Monday, Sept. 1 – No School (Labor Day)
  • Tuesday, Sept. 2 – School-wide Dress Down Day (no uniforms; school-appropriate outfits). Pay $2 in MySchoolBucks or $9 for the year. Proceeds benefit your child’s grade level!
  • Sept. 8–12 – College & Career Week 🎓💼 Themed dress-down days each day (flyer attached).
  • HTES Shirts Now Available 👕 – Dry-fit shirts ($20) and vintage merch ($5–$10) are live in MySchoolBucks while supplies last. Don’t wait—sizes and quantities are limited!

Finally, thank you for your endless support, encouragement, and—yes—your smiles in the car line. You may not realize it, but your cheerful waves and good mornings make our mornings brighter too!

Enjoy your 3-day weekend, recharge, and we’ll see you Tuesday—refreshed and ready for another amazing week at The Tree!

With gratitude,
Ms. Miller and Ms. Vargas
