Dear Hickory Tree Families,

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, I just want to take a moment to share how incredibly proud we are of our students and staff here at Hickory Tree Elementary.

Across our campus, classrooms are alive with engagement, excitement, and purpose. Our teachers are going above and beyond to make learning meaningful, fun, and focused as we prepare for PM3 testing. From creative review activities to targeted small group instruction, every moment is being used intentionally to help students feel confident, prepared, and successful.

In third grade, students have been participating in themed “boot camps” to review important skills—turning learning into an experience they’re excited about! In fourth and fifth grade, classrooms are locked in and focused, with students setting goals, tracking their progress, and pushing toward proficiency and growth.

What makes Hickory Tree so special is that our students don’t just learn; they take ownership of their learning. They know their goals, they understand what they’re working toward, and they are rising to the challenge.

We truly believe in our students—and we can’t wait to see them shine this month!

We also have many fun end-of-year activities and celebrations planned across grade levels. In order for these events to be successful and enjoyable for all students, we need everyone to continue demonstrating positive and appropriate behavior.
